Dehierarchies of Morley
Dehierarchies of Morley
20 August - 12 November 2025
Dehierarchies of Morley, my first solo exhibition-intervention,
took place at Morley College in London, supported by Morley
Gallery and Morley Radio. Site-embedded, the project included
selected recent work and investigated the human-nonhuman
material being-with.
Intentionally open-ended, the project invited the Morley College
visitors and adult students to activate their curiosity about the
potentials of material encounters beyond the habitually familiar.
Fragment of the exhibition text:
Have they slowly and unnoticeably made their way out through
the pores of the College walls? Are they being born, mutant love
children of road dust and stardust, bastard litter of the Thames
and ceaseless human steps, swelling out of the cable pathways
of power?
Did they drift in, one windy summer day, through an open roof
flap, undisturbed? While we were busy fussing? Now, fully
settled, are they gradually dissolving into the spinal cords of the
stairwell?
What will they do if you talk to them? Where do they end? What
happens then? Will you participate, regardless?
